Job summary

Berkley Program Specialists in the United States seeks a Senior Claims Specialist with General Liability expertise in Naperville, IL or Lexington, KY. The role handles complex general liability and auto liability claims in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

The ideal candidate has a strong casualty claims background, progressive responsibility, and can independently manage high-exposure claims, including litigated matters. The position may also touch first-party crime and cyber claims.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum seven years of commercial claims handling experience.
• Experience handling litigated casualty claims.
• Licensure with adjuster licenses (CA, CT, DE, FL, KY, LA, NH, NM, NC, OK, RI, SC, TX, VT, WV, WY) required within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex general liability and auto liability claims from first notice to resolution.
• Analyze policy coverages and draft coverage letters and determinations.
• Lead litigation strategy and monitor budgets and spend.
• Collaborate with insureds, brokers, underwriters, and business partners.
• Deliver responsive, professional service and strengthen relationships.
• Ensure compliance with guidelines, regulations and reporting.
