Job summary

Arch Insurance Group Inc. is seeking a Senior Claims Examiner, Casualty, to actively manage commercial casualty claims including high severity and excess/umbrella policies across the United States.

Ideal candidates bring strong negotiation skills and technical expertise for fast-paced environments. Responsibilities include coverage analysis, coordinating with counsel and underwriters, and developing strategies to resolve matters while maintaining timely communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of working experience in casualty claims with a carrier support focus.
• Active adjuster licensing in applicable states.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess coverage issues and draft coverage position letters.
• Retain coverage counsel when needed and review opinions.
• Develop and implement strategy related to coverage issues.
• Mitigate indemnity and expense exposures.
• Maintain contact with claims staff, underwriters, defense counsel, and brokers.
• Investigate claims and review insureds materials and pleadings.
• Review jurisdictional statutes, rules and case law.
• Review litigation materials including depositions and expert reports.
• Direct risk transfer, additional insured, and indemnity issues.
• Retain and direct counsel per resolution strategy.
• Analyze coverage, liability and damages for reserves.
