This role involves analyzing complex fact patterns to determine indemnity and contribution obligations and coordinating with defense counsel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of five years handling general liability claims.
• Superior analytical ability and organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent negotiation and technical claim handling skills, including knowledge of coverage and tort laws.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations and analyze information.
• Make coverage determinations and communicate positions to insureds and required parties.
• Set reserves within authority and monitor adjustments.
• Present cases to management for reserve authority.
• Develop and implement resolution strategies for high-quality outcomes.
• Proactively manage litigation and counsel, including budgeting and bill review.
• Attend trials and mediations as necessary.
• Contribute to claim and enterprise goals through audits and projects.
• Prepare reports and deliver presentations to senior claim leadership.
