Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of five years handling general liability claims.
• Strong analytical ability and organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent negotiation and technical claim handling skills, including knowledge of coverage and tort laws.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations and analyze information learned.
• Make coverage determinations and communicate written positions to insureds and required parties.
• Set appropriate reserves within authority levels and monitor regularly for adjustments.
• Present cases to management for reserve authority decisions.
• Develop and implement resolution strategies to achieve high-quality outcomes.
• Proactively manage litigation and counsel, including budgeting and bill review.
• Attend trials and mediations as necessary.
• Contribute to broader claim and enterprise goals through audits and projects.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and deliver presentations to senior claim leadership.
