Job summary

AvonRisk is seeking a senior Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster III to handle the most complex, high-exposure claims and serve as a technical resource for clients and colleagues. Remote or hybrid options are available based on location.

You will mentor junior adjusters, oversee reserving and PD rating, and lead litigation strategy while coordinating with medical management teams and subspecialists to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of WC claims experience including 5+ years of independent indemnity management in complex, high-exposure files.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years WC indemnity experience at an independent level or equivalent.
• CA SIP certificate required for CA files; active adjuster license in applicable state(s) required.

Responsibilities

• Perform three-point contact on new losses; plan action for complex, high-exposure cases.
• Lead medical management on catastrophic claims and direct UR/IMEs.
• Lead PD rating on complex cases and set reserves with justification.
• Direct the full litigation process on complex files; select counsel and manage spend.
• Negotiate high-value settlements; coordinate multi-lien resolutions and subrogation.
