Job summary

Rimkus Consulting Group in Houston seeks an experienced Manager, General Ledger & Corporate Accounting to lead the corporate accounting function, including the general ledger, close, reconciliations, and internal controls. This hands-on leadership role emphasizes accuracy, timeliness, and governance within a growing, global professional services firm.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger and close.
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and GL accounting.
Experience supervising accounting professionals.
Strong Excel skills and handling large financial datasets.
Experience with ERP environments.
Eligible to work in the United States.
CPA preferred (not required).

Responsibilities

Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with timely, accurate financial results.
Maintain GL integrity and GAAP-compliant entries.
Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and intercompany activity.
Own balance sheet reconciliations and aging of items.
Partner with regional teams for consistent accounting treatment.
Support consolidated financial reporting across entities and locations.
Drive process improvements to speed and quality of close.
