Job summary

EY in the United States is seeking a General Ledger / Accounts Payable Senior Associate to support day‑to‑day ledger, AP and expense processes. You will prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, assist with period‑end close and ensure compliance with GAAP, FAR, CAS and EY policies.

The role requires collaboration across finance teams, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field or equivalent professional experience.
• 4–6 years of related accounting experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Experience with government contracting and general ledger, accounts payable and expense processes.
• Proficiency in Excel including pivot tables, complex formulas, and lookups.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules in accordance with deadlines and accounting requirements.
• Perform balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Support period‑end close activities and assist with audits.
• Process AP vouchers and expense reports in line with policies and CAS/DFARS.
• Maintain vendor master records and reconcile AP subledger to the GL.
• Develop and maintain AP and expense procedure guides and training materials.
• Collaborate with various finance teams to ensure compliance and accurate reporting.
