Job summary

EY is seeking a General Ledger / Accounts Payable Senior Associate to support daily ledger operations, journal entries, reconciliations, and period-end close for US government contracts. You’ll also help with accounts payable processing, compliance, and audits, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, 4–6 years of related experience, and Costpoint proficiency; a security clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field or equivalent professional experience.
• 4–6 years of related accounting experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Deltek Costpoint required.
• Experience with government contracting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, lookups).

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger structures and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation on time.
• Close subperiods and year-end activities as scheduled.
• Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Process accounts payable vouchers and expense reports per policies.
• Collaborate with governance and enablement teams; support audits.
