Job summary

EY in the US Government & Infrastructure practice seeks a General Ledger / Accounts Payable Senior Associate to support GL, AP, and expense functions, ensuring timely close and compliant financial reporting.

You will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, assist with audits, and promote internal controls, with AI tools like Copilot to boost efficiency.

This role requires collaboration across finance teams, GAAP knowledge, and experience with Costpoint and government contracting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• 4–6 years of related accounting experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
• Deltek Costpoint is required
• Experience with government contracting
• Experience with general ledger, accounts payable and expense processes
• Proficiency in Excel including pivot tables, complex formulas and lookups

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger account structures and configurations.
• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for GAAP-compliant reporting.
• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities.
• Process accounts payable vouchers and expense reports per policies.
• Reconcile AP subledger to the general ledger and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with audits and internal controls documentation.
