Responsibilities

• Direct the overall execution of projects within the branch's technical portfolio, including quality, schedule, budget, technical and management approaches.
• Establish goals and organize, direct, and defend integrated science and technology programs responding to Coast Guard needs.
• Develop alliances and networks to understand operations and identify science and technology opportunities.
• Assess science and technology trends, identify knowledge gaps, and evaluate feasibility in lab and Coast Guard settings.
• Translate complex concepts for senior officials and stakeholders; supervise branch personnel and project staff.
