The Prince George's County Police Department is seeking qualified applicants for a General Clerk 4, grade P12, in the Training & Education Division. This senior clerical role involves leading and training staff, handling advanced clerical duties, and ensuring operational effectiveness under supervision.

Rotating shifts may be required. The position is part of a public safety sensitive environment with background checks and pre-employment screening.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 1 year of experience at General Clerk III level.
• Or one year of education beyond high school including data entry/secretarial/business coursework.
• Or six months of diverse clerical tasks and relevant training or experience.

Aufgaben

• Maintain a courteous, professional demeanor when dealing with the public by phone or in person.
• Assist citizens with forms and provide information on training classes.
• Operate and monitor office equipment and SOPs to ensure accurate information.
• Record and disseminate messages promptly to Training and Education staff.
• Prepare and develop reports and maintain logs and files for smooth operations.
• Assist in evaluating and scoring MPCTC tests and tracking certifications.
• Lead and train subordinate clerical staff in routine and advanced tasks.
• Perform duties within the Training & Education Division as assigned.
