Job summary

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 1 year in dispatch or related work, with the ability to pass agency exams and operate under pressure in a secured environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as an emergency/non-emergency dispatcher or similar role.
• Experience using two-way radio in a public safety setting.
• Ability to pass agency entrance examinations and related assessments.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units to routine or emergency calls.
• Provide instructions and hazard information to responders as required.
• Enter and broadcast incident data across multiple computer systems and GIS tools.
• Coordinate calls for service and ensure accurate documentation.
