Lucid Motors is seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager, General Assembly, to lead high-impact programs that support development, installation, integration, and readiness of General Assembly lines. You will own scope, schedules, risk management, and launch readiness for assigned GA initiatives in a fast-moving EV environment.

In this onsite role, you will coordinate across Manufacturing Engineering, Vehicle Integration, Design Engineering, NPI, Logistics, Operations, Procurement, and Quality

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or STEM field.
  • 8+ years of GA engineering, technical program management, or PM experience in automotive/advanced manufacturing.
  • Experience designing, launching, or integrating GA equipment and processes for brownfield or greenfield programs.
  • Experience leading cross-functional programs across engineering, manufacturing, operations, procurement, logistics, quality, and product teams.
  • Working knowledge of Jira, Smartsheet, MS Project, Catia and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

  • Define program scope, objectives, milestones, and KPIs and translate requirements into execution plans.
  • Lead cross-functional planning for GA equipment, process development, installation, and integration for production readiness.
  • Build and manage program schedules, resource needs, and deliverables for timely milestones.
  • Identify and mitigate technical, schedule, cost, and integration risks.
  • Facilitate cross-functional decisions across multiple groups when priorities conflict.
  • Evaluate product design changes for manufacturing integration and for DFA activities.

About the Team

The General Assembly team plays a critical role in bringing Lucid vehicles from design intent to production readiness by building scalable, reliable manufacturing processes. The team partners across Manufacturing Engineering, Vehicle Integration, Design Engineering, Logistics, New Product Introduction, Operations Engineering, and Quality to ensure the assembly line supports safety, quality, timing, and customer requirements. What makes this team unique is its cross-functional ownership of complex launch and manufacturing challenges, where decisions directly influence production performance and the customer experience.

About the Role

As a Staff Technical Program Manager, General Assembly, you will lead high-impact programs that support the development, installation, integration, and readiness of General Assembly manufacturing lines at Lucid. This role reports to a leader within Manufacturing Engineering and exists to strengthen program execution as Lucid scales vehicle production and introduces new products, processes, and equipment. In the first 12 months, you will own program scope, schedules, risk management, cross-functional alignment, and launch readiness for assigned General Assembly initiatives. Success will be measured by clear program governance, timely milestone delivery, effective risk mitigation, and manufacturing solutions that meet safety, quality, cost, and production requirements. This role offers the opportunity to make decisions at the intersection of product design, manufacturing equipment, and production execution in a fast-moving electric vehicle environment.

What You Own
  • Program Strategy: Define program scope, objectives, milestones, and key performance indicators, then translate business and manufacturing requirements into actionable execution plans.
  • Launch Readiness: Lead cross-functional planning for General Assembly equipment, process development, installation, and integration to support production readiness across brownfield and greenfield programs.
  • Schedule Ownership: Build and manage program schedules, resource needs, and deliverables to support timely milestone completion and clear accountability across teams.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate technical, schedule, cost, and integration risks throughout the program lifecycle before they impact launch outcomes.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Facilitatedecisions across Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering, Vehicle Integration, NPI, Logistics, Operations Engineering, Procurement, and Quality when priorities or requirements conflict.
  • Manufacturing Integration: Evaluate product design changes and manufacturing requirements to support Design for Manufacturing activities and ensure seamless integration into the General Assembly line.
  • Budget and Change Control: Monitor program costs, track Product Engineering-driven changes, and elevate cost, timing, or scope impacts with clear recommendations for resolution.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, STEM, or a related field
  • 8+ years of General Assembly engineering, technical program management, or project management experience in an automotive or advanced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience designing, developing, launching, or integrating General Assembly equipment and processes for brownfield or greenfield programs.
  • Experience leading cross-functional programs and influencing decisions across engineering, manufacturing, operations, procurement, logistics, quality, and product teams.
  • Working knowledge of Jira, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Catia and AutoCAD.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with CATIA, DELMIA, or similar manufacturing and product development tools.
  • Experience supporting Design for Manufacturing activities and translating product requirements into manufacturing equipment or process solutions.
  • Experience managing program budgets, change control, and launch timing in a high-growth production environment.
  • Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally up to 40% of the time based on business needs.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform the essential duties of the position, including understanding work instructions, safety procedures, and job-related communications.
  • Ability to work in manufacturing and production environments where personal protective equipment may be required.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move through production areas as needed to review equipment, processes, and installation activity.
  • Ability to use a computer and related office equipment for extended periods to manage schedules, documentation, program updates, and cross-functional communication.
Work Requirement

This role is fully onsite at Lucid’s manufacturing location. Daily in-person presence is required to support production readiness, cross-functional coordination, and manufacturing line execution.

Salary Range

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

Base Pay Range (Annual)

$157,500 - $231,000 USD

Compensation & Benefits

Lucid offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability coverage; paid time off; paid holidays, paid sick leave; and a401(k) retirementplan. Hourly/non-exempt employees accrue up to 120 hours paid time off, and salaried/exempt employee accrue up to 160 hours paid time off. Eligible employees may also participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual cash incentive program. Incentive and equity awards, if applicable, are determined based on individual performance, role scope, market considerations, and overall company results,in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
