Job summary

PACCAR, a Fortune 500 leader in commercial vehicles, seeks a Senior General Accountant in Bellevue, WA. You will support the PACCAR Financial reporting and close, oversee core accounting processes, and partner cross-functionally to enable accurate financial results.

Responsibilities include month-end close, reconciliations, intercompany accounting, budgeting, audits, and process improvements. CPA/MBA a plus; 2+ years in accounting/finance required; strong Excel skills and attention to detail are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• CPA or MBA is a plus.
• Minimum of two years of accounting/finance experience.
• Strong technical accounting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly and year-end close activities with journal entries (Cash and Intercompany).
• Prepare month-end reconciliations; investigate discrepancies and reconcile items.
• Upload journal vouchers accurately and timely into the accounting system.
• Maintain intercompany/advance accounting with other PACCAR divisions.
• Assist with Canadian operations during month-end: journals and reports.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency.
• Contribute to special projects requiring technical accounting analysis and data-driven recommendations.
