Job summary

Cotality in Irvine, CA is seeking a highly motivated AI Engineer to own Gen AI/Agentic AI data engineering initiatives. You will apply deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Doc AI, BigQuery, Python and modern data pipelines to modernize our document processing workflows.

You will lead scalable architectures, HITL workflows, and enterprise governance while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver straight-through processing of massive unstructured documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline.
• 7+ years of IT experience with Gen AI/Agentic AI, Document Image extraction, data architecture, Kubernetes/GKE, and related improvements.
• Deep understanding of Gen AI/Agentic AI, ML, unstructured data extraction, prompt engineering, multi-agent orchestration, RAG and governance.
• Extensive hands-on with Google Document AI suite and evaluation of extraction model performance.
• Proven HITL workflows for enterprise Document AI pipelines.
• Experience in full lifecycle of Gen AI/ML apps, data pipelines, governance and strategy.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, high-performance Document Image extraction pipelines using Google Doc AI.
• Translate requirements into architected technical solutions
• Define and document architecture, designs and requirements
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to teams
• Develop architecture artifacts for technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Identify challenges and drive design through validation and stakeholder consensus
• Apply architectural best practices and governance
• Contribute to enterprise technology initiatives and incident resolution
• Participate in team ceremonies and project governance
• Mentor junior engineers to foster growth
