Job summary

Chemours is seeking a Senior AI Applications Engineer to join our AI & Data Science team. The role is remote in the US with potential onsite in Mexico City, reporting to the Head of Data Science & AI.

You will design GenAI solutions, build multi-agent systems, and drive end-to-end delivery across departments with a strong emphasis on secure, scalable software. Ideal candidates have 8+ years backend development (Python/JS), 2+ years GenAI deployments, and solid frontend experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• 8+ years backend development with Python and JavaScript
• 2+ years designing and deploying GenAI solutions in production
• 2+ years UI/frontend development with React.js, Typescript, and HTML
• Strong GenAI architectures knowledge: embeddings, RAG, hybrid/search
• Experience evaluating GenAI solutions and cost-to-performance tradeoffs
• Proficiency with Pydantic models for robust GenAI workflows
• Excellent English communication with non-technical stakeholders
• US visa valid for onsite interviews in the United States

Responsibilities

• Identify and integrate Generative AI solutions into business workflows to deliver value
• Design, architect, and productionize traditional software apps and GenAI agents
• Collaborate with users and stakeholders to scope use cases and UX
• Lead cross-functional initiatives across Finance, Legal, Manufacturing, R&D, Supply Chain
• Mentor junior developers and promote collaboration and pair programming
• Coordinate with Cybersecurity, Infra, Data Engineering for reviews
• Lead end-to-end delivery of opportunities and maintain phased roadmaps
• Own product roadmap, gather feedback, prioritize backlog, plan releases
• Lead development from design to deployment and monitor progress
• Document architectures, address technical debt, ensure security/compliance
• Manage full lifecycle of deployed apps with improvements based on user feedback
