Job summary

The Chemours Company is seeking a Senior AI Applications Engineer to join our AI & Data Science team, with a location option at Plaza Carso Offices in Mexico City or remote for the right candidate. You will lead GenAI-enabled software initiatives, design scalable architectures, and collaborate across Manufacturing, Legal, Finance, and Supply Chain.

Strong backend and frontend skills are required. Ideal candidates will have 8+ years of Python/JavaScript experience, experience with GenAI systems,

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of advanced backend development with Python and JavaScript.
• Two+ years designing, coding in Python, and deploying complex GenAI solutions in production.
• Minimum two years of UI/frontend development with React.js, TypeScript, and HTML.
• Strong experience with GenAI architectures, embeddings, RAG, and vector/full-text search.
• Proven ability to design, deploy, evaluate GenAI solutions and optimize cost-to-performance.

Responsibilities

• Identify, design, and integrate GenAI solutions into business workflows to deliver value.
• Lead end-to-end software development from design through deployment.
• Define phased roadmaps, gather user feedback, and plan releases with stakeholders.
• Mentor junior developers and collaborate with Cybersecurity, Data Engineering, and IT teams.
• Communicate progress to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
