Job summary

The Chemours Company is seeking a Senior AI Applications Engineer to join our AI & Data Science team. The role reports to the Head of Data Science & AI and may be remote in the US.

You will design, deploy, and scale GenAI-enabled apps and multi-agent systems for internal and external use. You will collaborate with stakeholders across functions, mentor junior developers, and ensure secure, scalable architectures while leveraging Python, React.js, and modern AI tooling.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• 8+ years advanced backend development with Python and Javascript.
• 2+ years designing, coding in Python, and deploying GenAI solutions in production.
• Minimum 2 years UI & frontend development with React.js, Typescript, and HTML.
• Strong GenAI architectures incl. embeddings, RAG, and vector search.

Responsibilities

• Identify, design, and integrate Generative AI solutions into business workflows.
• Lead end-to-end software development from design through deployment.
• Define and maintain a phased GenAI roadmap with stakeholder input.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity, Data Engineering, and IT for governance and security.
