Job summary

The Chemours Company is seeking a Senior AI Applications Engineer to join its AI & Data Science team. The role reports to the Head of Data Science & AI and may be located at Plaza Carso Offices in Mexico City, with remote options for the right candidate.

You will design, build, and deploy GenAI-powered solutions, lead end-to-end delivery, and collaborate with stakeholders across Manufacturing, Legal, Finance, R&D, and Supply Chain. Strong backend, frontend, and GenAI experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• 8+ years backend development with Python and JavaScript.
• 2+ years designing, coding (Python) and deploying GenAI solutions.
• Minimum 2 years UI/frontend with React.js, TypeScript, HTML.
• Experience building GenAI architectures, embeddings and retrieval techniques.
• Strong communication with non-technical stakeholders.
• Valid US visa; onsite interview in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Identify and integrate Generative AI solutions into business workflows.
• Design and productionize traditional apps and GenAI agents.
• Collaborate with users to scope use cases and UX requirements.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives across multiple business functions.
• Mentor junior developers and promote collaboration.
• Define phased roadmaps and prioritize backlogs.
• Lead end-to-end software development from design to deployment.
• Communicate progress to non-technical stakeholders.
