Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking an IT engineer to accelerate enterprise software development using Claude Code and agentic workflows. You will architect new applications, assess legacy systems, and collaborate with product teams to deliver MVPs and production-ready systems.

Responsibilities include implementing cloud-native interfaces, maintaining AI-assisted code, and ensuring security-and-safety guardrails while mentoring teammates in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with minimum 2 years of professional experience OR Associate with minimum 5 years OR High School with minimum 7 years of experience
• Military experience equivalent to professional experience
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design scalable software solutions using Claude Code
• Evaluate legacy systems to plan replacement applications
• Code integrated, modular applications with guidance from Claude Code
• Maintain and improve AI-generated codebases and deployment pipelines
• Debug performance, data handling, and security issues in AI code
• Collaborate with business units to translate needs into designs and MVPs
• Support make-vs-buy decisions and evaluate SaaS options
• Develop APIs and web interfaces for cloud deployments
• Document system architectures and coding standards
• Mentor team members on agentic development practices
• Ensure compliance with GE Aerospace guardrails during design and coding
