Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Senior Staff Systems Engineer for the Ground Control Segment (Mux TACAIR). Lead architecture, hardware design, integration, and verification, working with multi-disciplinary teams to meet program objectives and customer requirements.

You will define system diagrams, maintain baselines, and coordinate with suppliers and customers across on-site facilities in FL, MD, and CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with extensive STEM experience; 14+ years preferred.
• Master's degree with 12+ years experience in engineering or related field.
• PhD with 10+ years of experience in relevant technical area.

Responsibilities

• Lead ground architecture for Mux TACAIR ground control segment.
• Define and maintain ground segment architecture and documentation.
• Plan, execute trade studies on architecture and configurations.
• Own rack level design for computing and networking equipment.
• Develop and release engineering drawings and BOMs.
• Lead integration, verification, and flight test activities.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and customers.
• Manage suppliers and subcontractors for ground segment hardware/software.
• Apply Agile practices (JIRA) to manage backlog and progress.
