Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Engineer/Principal Engineer Electronics - Ground System Architect/Integrator in San Diego, CA to lead development of next-generation ground system solutions within the Aeronautics Systems IPT. The role requires strong systems engineering, Python scripting, and knowledge of UAV C2 and secure networks.

The position is full-time on-site with potential hybrid telework at manager's discretion and travel up to 25%. A TS clearance is required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in STEM with required years of experience.
• Master's degree in STEM with relevant experience is acceptable.
• PhD in STEM with experience is also valued.

Responsibilities

• Determine customer needs and develop approaches, interfaces, identify standards and constraints, civil requirements, and security needs.
• Lead trade studies, technology development, and subcontractor teams.
• Write Python scripts per customer requirements to support configuration verification, streamline processes and troubleshoot issues from the field.
• Understanding of Ground System architecture including UAV C2, classified and unclassified networks, network storage devices, security appliances and government external interfaces.
• Knowledge of, or experience with, common ground approaches, implementations, components, standards, interfaces, constraints, and security needs.
