Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Senior Systems Integration Engineer – Enterprise Transformation to design and scale enterprise data pipelines and integrations across GM’s software landscape. You will connect Google Workspace, SaaS platforms, AI tools, and core business systems with scalable, secure patterns.

You will lead architecture decisions, deliver production-ready pipelines, and partner with product, engineering, TPM, and security teams to ensure reliable data flow and platform

Qualifications

• 10+ years in integration engineering or enterprise software in large environments.
• Hands-on with Google Cloud integration products (Apigee, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions).
• Experience mapping dependencies across SaaS apps, data layers, identity services, and business processes.
• Deep knowledge of integrating GCP with Workday and ServiceNow via REST/SOAP.
• Strong Python and scripting abilities; proficiency in CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven architectures.
• Familiar with Git-based version control and securing hybrid environments.
• Understanding of enterprise authentication (IAM, OAuth2, SAML, OIDC).
• Proven collaboration with product, engineering, TPMs, security, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define reusable integration patterns and GCP-native templates to accelerate transformation pods.
• Enforce platform guardrails aligning with data standards and security policies.
• Coordinate with Security, Privacy, ILM teams to secure data workflows.
• Evaluate integration requests and select appropriate SaaS, GCP-native, or custom paths.
• Design and maintain APIs, webhooks, and pipelines connecting GCP with Workday, ServiceNow, and core systems.
• Define data mappings, transformations, error handling, and monitoring for reliable operations.
• Modernize legacy interfaces into scalable, Google-aligned patterns.
• Orchestrate end-to-end data movement and trigger actions across HR/IT ecosystems.
• Ensure coexistence across Microsoft, GCP, and internal environments during migrations.
• Plan data cutovers, validation, and post-deployment stabilization to minimize disruption.
• Provide architecture guidance and runbooks for long-term sustainment.
