The role requires 36 months of construction experience with gate automation expertise, low voltage knowledge, and strong safety discipline. Travel for projects is required; you will operate power/hand tools and read instructions, with a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 36 months of construction experience with advanced knowledge of gate automation systems.
• Low voltage experience and knowledge of electrical current and relays.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; willingness to undergo on‑the‑job training.
• Willingness to travel overnight and on weekends for projects.
• Ability to use power and hand tools, read a tape measure, understand instructions.
• Must perform outdoor physical work 8+ hours a day, 40+ hours a week.
• Background check and drug screen required; valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Leads installation technicians in safe, efficient installation and maintenance of gates and automated systems.
• Completes inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure safety and compliance.
• Troubleshoots gate components, including motors and control systems, and diagnoses issues.
• Implements solutions and escalates unresolved issues to project management.
• Performs repairs and component replacements to ensure reliability.
• Installs equipment such as electric operators, wiring, and related hardware; conducts welding when needed.
• Maintains safety and quality records, timesheets, and project paperwork.
• Acts as primary client contact during site visits and ensures clear communication.
