Job summary

Guardian Access Solutions is seeking a Gate Installation Technician to support guard gate divisions with installations, service, maintenance, and repair of automated gate systems including swing and slide gates, access control, CCTV, and intrusion equipment.

The role requires hands-on construction work, electrical low voltage knowledge, and the ability to travel overnight for projects. Candidates must pass background checks, have a valid driver's license, and communicate effectively in English.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Minimum 12 months of construction experience; gate automation knowledge preferred.
• Low voltage experience; understanding of electrical current and relays.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with willingness to train as needed.
• Willingness to travel overnight and on weekends for projects.
• Valid driver's license with clean record; able to read and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance on gate systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose gate components (motors, sensors, control systems).
• Repair and replace parts to keep gate systems running smoothly.
• Install new equipment (e.g., operators, wiring, concrete).
• Maintain safety and quality, document activities in ERP system.
• Communicate clearly with clients and respond to service requests.
• Complete paperwork and timesheets promptly.
• Adhere to safety policies and participate in after-hours/on-call coverage.
• Work outdoors in varying weather and environments.
