Job summary

Collaboration with Operations is essential for maintenance-related engineering support. The candidate should have a BS in engineering and 8 years of construction knowledge, with strong communication, drafting, and project management skills.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of applicable Federal (DOT), State (PUC), and local codes/regulations.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient drawing and drafting skills for natural gas construction.
• Proficient in decision making and problem solving.
• Proficient in project and program management.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design facilities and estimates for safe, cost-effective maintenance of the distribution system.
• Prepare, evaluate and award bid packages; monitor projects and ensure cost control.
• Develop annual Capital Construction Budget and implement substitutions as required.
• Coordinate workload priorities, material procurement, permits, and design implementation.
• Mentor Engineering staff and provide support to Operational areas as required.
