UGI Utilities, Inc. is seeking an Engineer I in Wilkes-Barre, PA to design and upgrade natural gas facilities. You will determine mains for replacements, develop complete project packages, and coordinate bidding, permitting, and material obtainment.

The role includes field support, project management, and rotating on-call duties after training. The position requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, strong communication, and CAD proficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Engineering.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Excellent computer skills, especially mapping and technical programs.
Background in AutoCAD or other CAD programs.

Responsabilités

Review roadway construction plans with stakeholders for conflicts and maintenance needs.
Research internal records and assess system conditions for planning facility replacements.
Coordinate design priorities with capital construction and operations teams.
Design replacement and betterment projects using Design Manager, Synergi Gas 4.9, AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Monitor project progress, permits, materials, and pre-construction activities to ensure timely completion.
Provide after-hours engineering support and act as Duty Supervisor after training.
