Job summary

Alliant Energy Corporation seeks a Lead Project Manager to oversee gas generation projects—from development through commissioning—utilizing the Alliant Energy Program and PM processes. You will guide the project team, manage risks, and coordinate with EPCs, OE, EOR, and key stakeholders to achieve program goals.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and PMP certification, with 8 years of experience in managing large programs and complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or related field is required with PMP certification.
• 8 years professional experience in program or project management managing multiple large projects.
• PMP certification is required for this Lead Project Manager role.

Responsibilities

• Leads development, construction and commissioning of gas generation projects.
• Manages project risks and coordinates with EPC contractors, OE, EOR and stakeholders.
• Conducts stage gates and quality reviews for high‑risk, large, complex projects.
• Promotes and improves program and project management practices across the portfolio.
• Mentors others in organizational change management within project context.
• Provides direct program management services for large strategic programs.
