BHE GT&S is seeking a Compressor Station Operator Sr. for the Oakford Station in Delmont, PA. The role focuses on operating engines and equipment to safely pump and compress natural gas, maintaining records and responding to dispatcher instructions.

Qualified candidates should have six months of mechanical experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to perform lift duties, work in confined spaces, and adhere to strict safety procedures, including PPE and incident reporting.

Qualifications

• Six months documented mechanical experience in industrial equipment, compressors, pumps, electrical motors, controls circuitry, engines.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, climb ladders and work from elevated surfaces.
• Follow mandatory safety rules and PPE to ensure safe operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate internal combustion and turbine engines and related equipment to pump and compress natural gas.
• Report pressures and operating conditions to Gas Dispatcher and maintain records.
• Change pressures and route gas as directed.
• Operate secondary equipment such as water pumps, generators, motors and heating boilers.
• Perform minor engine repairs and assist in major overhauls; keep tools in safe condition.
• Prepare records and reports as required.
