Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Game Designer with strong Unreal Engine experience to shape playable experiences. You will connect gameplay systems, prototype content pipelines, and build tools to streamline development while applying deep design judgment.

Collaborate with Design and Engineering to evaluate approaches, iterate on missions and encounters, and push frontier technologies in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Broad game design knowledge or strong specialty with the technical skills to connect gameplay systems and turn ideas into playable experiences.
• Comfortable with Unreal Engine, Blueprints, coding, debugging, and independently building or extending gameplay systems and tools.
• Experience building, extending, or improving content creation tools and workflows.
• Able to evaluate gameplay quality, compare implementation approaches, and understand tradeoffs.
• Enjoys R&D, solving unfamiliar problems, and experimenting with frontier technologies and emerging development tools.
• Takes initiative, collaborates with Design and Engineering, and shares learnings to improve team workflows.

Responsibilities

• Explore better workflows: identify friction in traditional development and experiment with frontier tools and automation.
• Prototype and validate new ways to assemble playable content, including scripting, spawning, streaming, and cinematic integration.
• Develop tools and pipelines with Engineering to support design needs.
• Apply design expertise to evaluate levels, missions, encounters, and gameplay systems.
• Establish new processes by turning experiments into reusable workflows for content creation.
