Epic Games seeks a senior Tools Programmer to build the next generation of UI tooling and AI-powered workflows for Unreal Engine. You will shape systems used to create UI across editors, tools, and in-game interfaces, collaborating with engineers, designers, and content creators.

You will design, implement, and optimize tooling, mentor other developers, and address performance in complex UI subsystems while leveraging slate/UMG and engine APIs.

Qualifications

• Strong tools-programming background with focus on UI tooling
• Deep UI domain expertise (UI frameworks, runtime UI, editor tools)
• Excellent C++ skills in a large codebase
• Experience with Unreal Engine is a plus
• Hands-on exposure to AI-powered workflows is desirable

Responsabilités

• Design, build, and integrate AI-powered UI tools and frameworks for authoring, iteration, and debugging
• Own and evolve the UI tech codebase used to build tools and in-game UI in Unreal Engine
• Set technical direction for UI tooling and mentor other engineers
• Collaborate across disciplines to identify improvements and design solutions for developer needs
• Profile and resolve performance and memory issues in UI systems
• Work with internal teams and Unreal Engine licensees to tackle UI challenges
