Job summary

Dreisbach-Enterprises in Oakland, CA, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our multi-entity accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls, ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate automation. You will lead month-end close, coordinate tax filings, manage payroll accounting, and partner with operations, HR and IT.

CPA preferred; 5+ years progressive experience; strong Excel skills and attention to discretion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience including supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH).
• Experience in multi-entity accounting environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations across multiple entities (corporate, trusts, LLCs).
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes and financial statement preparation.
• Manage payroll accounting and benefits cost allocations.
• Coordinate tax returns for corporate, LLC, trust, and individuals; liaise with external CPA.
• Support internal controls and external audits; ensure GAAP compliance.
