Job summary

Golden State Group in San Francisco, CA seeks a Senior Accountant to own the month-end close, reconcile balance sheets, and drive GAAP-compliant reporting for a growing sports/entertainment entity.

The role requires 3+ years of accounting experience, strong US GAAP knowledge (ASC 606/ASC 842), and ERP proficiency. You will support audits, intercompany activity, and process improvements.

Qualifications

3+ years of progressive accounting experience with contract review experience.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and league reporting considerations.
Experience with ERP systems and financial statement preparation.

Responsibilities

Maintain general ledger, prepare journal entries, and manage month-end close.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and analyze P&L variances.
Support audits with schedules and narratives; respond to inquiries.
Review contracts for accounting implications (revenue, lease, etc.).
Record intercompany transactions and ensure eliminations are accurate.
Develop SOPs, support system implementations, and participate in UAT.
Prepare internal financial statements under US GAAP & League Reporting.
