Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Formal Verification Engineer to join the formal verification team working on next generation chips. You will own the formal verification of RTL units, requiring deep knowledge of architectural and micro-architectural details and strong analytical skills.

The role involves developing FV testplans, verification environments, and automation scripts, plus reviewing proofs with design and verification teams.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in CS/CE/EE/Math or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical skills and computer architecture background.
• Hands-on Verilog/SystemVerilog experience.
• Understanding of abstraction techniques for verification.
• Temporal logic assertions knowledge.
• Experience with formal verification tools (Jasper, IFV, SMV, SPIN).

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive FV testplan documents.
• Identify key behaviors for verification and create a verification plan.
• Developing verification environment including environment assumptions, assertions and cover properties.
• Applying various FV techniques to proof correctness of digital designs.
• Debug RTL to identify failure scenarios.
• Develop scripts to automate the verification process.
• Review formal setups and proofs with design and verification teams.
