Job summary

CBRE in Los Angeles is seeking a Fund Accounting Controller to oversee all aspects of financial accounting, reporting, and analysis of fund operations for a portfolio of clients. You will manage NAV calculations, P&L oversight, and coordination with auditors.

The role requires 7+ years of fund accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with Yardi and MS Office. You will lead a small team and drive process improvements while ensuring SOX compliance where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with fund (NAV) accounting, with real estate exposure preferred.
• Experience with Yardi accounting software.
• Knowledge of GAAP, FASB; IFRS where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and review NAV calculations and financial packages.
• Monitor daily trading, GL activity, and pricing of funds for NAV accuracy.
• Prepare financial statements; assist audits and tax preparation.
• Coordinate treasury, cash management, and fund reconciliations; review bank reconciliations.
• Coach junior staff and support audits.
• Drive process improvements and onboarding of new clients.
