Job summary

Atlas Search is seeking a Senior Controller/Director of Fund Accounting for a co-sourced engagement with a well-established alternative investment manager. Based in Greenwich, Connecticut, the role is hybrid with three days in-office each week and leads the technical, operational, and oversight agenda across a portfolio of private credit and liquid funds.

Qualifications

• Deep GAAP knowledge and financial analysis skills.
• Proven leadership and team supervision abilities.
• Advanced Excel modeling and spreadsheet build-out.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting and administration for private credit funds and related vehicles.
• Review NAV calculations, partner capital allocations, and investor reporting.
• Oversee fund-level accounting incl. investments, interest, fees, expenses, accruals.
• Review capital calls, distributions, fees, carried interest, and waterfall calculations.
• Oversee quarterly and annual financial statements per US GAAP and related standards.
• Provide technical accounting oversight for credit facilities and note structures.
• Coordinate with outsourced fund administrator and hold to high standards of quality.
• Engage with external auditors, tax advisors, custodians, lenders, and service providers.
• Review portfolio valuations with investment teams and analysts to ensure accuracy.
• Interpret LPAs and governing documents; discuss provisions with senior stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with governing documents and internal controls.
• Review complex journal entries and reconciliations to maintain accuracy.
