Job summary

Confidential in New York seeks a senior finance professional to oversee fund accounting, NAVs, waterfalls, and performance metrics. You will coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure regulatory filings while driving automation of reporting workflows.

The role partners with Portfolio Management to optimize fund structures, manage capital calls, and deliver accurate management reporting to senior leadership. Strong expertise in tax planning, compliance, and investor reporting is essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting functions including quarterly close packages, NAV calculations, income and expense allocations, distribution waterfalls, and fund-level return calculations
• Review distribution waterfalls in accordance with fund legal documents, ensuring accuracy of carried interest, preferred return, and catch-up calculations
• Review partnership and fund IRRs and other performance metrics on a quarterly basis and prepare ad hoc calculations
• Assist with internal management reporting covering AUM, revenues, expenses, and fund economics for senior leadership and internal stakeholders
• Oversee credit facility management, including covenant monitoring, borrowing base calculations, and lender reporting
• Manage investor capital call and distribution processes, including timing, notices, and reconciliation
• Investment structuring to minimize cash and tax drag (ECI, FIRPTA, blocker entity utilization)
• Responding to investor due diligence requests
• Coordinate with Compliance, Tax, Legal, Valuation and fund administrators to ensure timely and accurate fund operations
• Lead process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance scalability and efficiency of fund accounting and reporting workflows
• Oversee third-party service providers including fund administrators, auditors, and outsourced tax professionals - managing deliverables, SLAs, and quality standards
• Support due diligence processes for new fund launches, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives
