Our client, a leading asset manager in private credit, seeks an Assistant Fund Controller to support accounting, reporting, and operations for a growing platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• Experience in fund accounting, fund administration, or related financial services.
• Understanding of investment fund structures and investor reporting.
• Experience with external service providers (auditors, admins) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for investment vehicles.
• Assist with fund accounting activities, including investor transactions and capital activity.
• Review and reconcile accounting records, investment activity, and schedules.
• Coordinate with third-party administrators, auditors, tax advisors, and other service providers.
• Assist with valuation support, portfolio reporting, and financial analysis.

Our client,an alternative asset manager in the private credit and lending space,is seeking an Assistant Fund Controller to support the accounting, reporting, and operational finance activities of a growing alternative investment platform. This role offers broad exposure across fund accounting, financial reporting, valuation support, and business operations, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within private markets.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is interested in gaining exposure to the investment management industry. This position will partner closely with finance leadership and external service providers while supporting a variety of accounting, reporting, and analytical initiatives. Fund accounting experience in private credit or private equity highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for investment vehicles and related entities
• Assist with fund accounting activities, including investor transactions, capital activity, allocations, and financial reporting
• Review and reconcile accounting records, investment activity, and supporting schedules
• Coordinate with third-party administrators, auditors, tax advisors, and other service providers
• Assist with valuation support, portfolio reporting, and financial analysis activities
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and investor reporting deliverables
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities for the management company
• Participate in audit, tax, and compliance-related projects
• Help improve accounting processes, reporting workflows, and internal controls
• Contribute to special projects and operational initiatives as the organization continues to grow

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA preferred but not required
• Experience in fund accounting, fund administration, public accounting, investment management, private equity, private credit, hedge funds, or related financial services environments
• Understanding of investment fund structures, capital activity, and investor reporting
• Experience working with fund administrators or other external service providers is highly desirable
• Strong accounting, analytical, and organizational skills
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial data
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to take ownership
• Interested in building a career within private markets, alternative investments, or fund finance
• Comfortable working on a lean, collaborative team
• Enjoys a blend of accounting, reporting, and analytical responsibilities
• Fund administration or investment fund accounting experience is a strong plus
