Job summary

Atlas Search in New York seeks a Senior Fund Accountant to join our growing alternative investments team. You will own the monthly and quarterly fund accounting close, review NAVs, capital activity, allocations, and reconciliations, and coordinate with third-party fund administrators.

This role offers broad exposure across the full fund lifecycle, interaction with finance leadership, and a clear path toward Manager and Assistant Controller-level opportunities, with a strong emphasis on work-life

Qualifications

• 3–6+ years in fund accounting or investment management.
• Experience with alternative investment products preferred.
• Background in private equity, private credit, or real estate.
• Strong NAV, capital activity, allocations and reporting understanding.

Responsibilities

• Manage the monthly and quarterly fund accounting close
• Review NAVs, capital accounts, allocations, and reconciliations
• Prepare and review management fees, carried interest, and distributions
• Oversee and coordinate with third-party fund administrators
• Support quarterly and annual financial statement preparation
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax providers, and other service partners
• Assist with capital calls, distributions, and investor reporting
• Gain exposure to valuations and underlying investment activity
• Participate in process improvements and other finance initiatives as the platform grows
