Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking an AMR Safety Lead to oversee the functional safety of the AMR Business products. You will guide cross-functional teams across software, hardware, and services to ensure consistent safety implementation and regulatory compliance.

In this remote role, you will collaborate with Rockwell safety engineers worldwide, mentor teams on hazard analysis and risk assessment, and drive safety strategy aligned with ISO/IEC standards and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Legal authorization to work in the USA without visa sponsorship.
• Availability for travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
• Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
• Experience with international regulatory standards or industry committees.

Responsibilities

• Provide functional safety expertise across multiple teams during all phases of the product lifecycle.
• Work with safety leads to align AMR safety with Rockwell goals and regulatory needs.
• Define and guide safety policies, processes, templates, and best practices across the business.
• Participate on standards committees to position products to deliver business outcomes.
• Own the AMR safety strategy, collaborating with systems, product management, engineering, services, and operations.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive product launches.
• Provide guidance to regional stakeholders on customer needs and safety statements.
• Maintain oversight of residual risk management and safety documentation.
• Lead investigations into safety incidents and provide reports.
• Drive interpretation and implementation of ISO 3691-4, ISO 13849, IEC 62061, IEC 61508, ANSI B56.5.
• Mentor engineers on hazard analysis, risk assessment, and safety principles.
