Job summary

Rockwell Automation seeks an AMR Safety Lead to own the functional safety of AMR products. You will guide safety alignment across software, hardware, and services, partnering with safety engineers globally and reporting to the Electrical and Safety Manager of the AMR Business.

Role involves remote work in Michigan, Ohio, or Rhode Island, with up to 10% travel. You will mentor teams, drive safety policy adoption, and ensure compliance with ISO and IEC standards while leading safety investigations

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
Legal to work in the USA (no visa sponsorship)
Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

Provide functional safety expertise across multiple teams during all product lifecycle phases.
Align functional safety goals with Rockwell's safety guidelines and standards.
Define and improve AMR safety policies, processes, templates and best practices.
Participate on standards committees to align portfolio with regulatory needs and business outcomes.
Lead the AMR safety strategy with cross-functional teams.
Advise regional stakeholders on customer needs and safety priorities.
Oversee residual risk management and safety documentation.
Lead investigations into safety incidents and report findings.
Interpret and implement evolving standards (ISO 3691-4, ISO 13849, IEC 62061, IEC 61508, ANSI B56.5).
Mentor engineers on hazard analysis, risk assessment and safety requirements.
