Job summary

Dew Software, Inc. is seeking an experienced Functional Safety Engineer with strong automotive experience and ISO 26262 expertise.

The role focuses on defining safety requirements, performing HARA analyses, and developing functional safety concepts across automotive systems, hardware, and software. You will collaborate with systems, hardware, software, design, and validation teams, ensure safety deliverables meet ISO 26262, and lead SOTIF analyses when required.

Qualifications

8+ years of professional experience in Functional Safety or a closely related role.
Extensive hands-on knowledge of ISO 26262.
Proven experience developing and delivering major ISO 26262 Functional Safety work products.

Responsibilities

Lead development of Functional Safety System Requirements and functional decomposition.
Develop and review HARA (Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment).
Develop, review, and approve Functional Safety Requirements (FSR) and Technical Safety Requirements (TSR).
Define and develop Functional Safety Concepts for automotive systems, hardware, and software.
Review vehicle/system architecture from a Functional Safety perspective.
Coordinate Functional Safety interfaces with suppliers and external partners.
