Job description

UL Solutions is seeking a Functional Safety Expert with strong embedded software, electronic system, and safety development experience. The ideal candidate has hands‑on product development experience and deep expertise in ISO 26262, allowing them to use their expertise to train, advise, and support customers developing safety‑critical systems.

This role includes creating and reviewing functional safety work products for a wide range of technologies, including electrified vehicle platforms, ADAS and automated driving systems, battery management systems, power electronics, industrial automation equipment, aerospace, and other complex safety‑related applications.

While the primary focus of this role is automotive functional safety, familiarity with related standards such as ISO 21448 (SOTIF), ISO 8800, ISO 42001, ISO 21434, IEC 62508 is beneficial.
