Experis, representing a client at the forefront of autonomous vehicle technology, seeks a dedicated Functional Safety Engineer Expert to join the Safety and Compliance team in guiding safety and reliability for robotic vehicles.

You will identify hazards using STPA, develop safety requirements, and collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure safety across the lifecycle. Strong documentation and proactive safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

Understanding of Functional Safety lifecycles and relevant safety standards (ISO 25119, ISO 13849, IEC 61508).
Experience conducting safety analyses such as FMEA, FTA, and STPA.
Ability to collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams to integrate safety requirements.
Strong documentation skills for safety plans, reports, and compliance.
Proactive in staying current with autonomous vehicle safety tech.

Responsibilities

Identify hazards and risks using STPA to ensure safety in autonomous vehicle systems.
Develop safety requirements and integrate safety measures throughout the product lifecycle.
Collaborate with hardware and software teams to allocate safety requirements and verify safety compliance.
Review safety verification and validation activities, including testing and simulation efforts.
Prepare and maintain comprehensive safety documentation, including safety plans, cases, and reports.
