Job summary
Remitly is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (SDE III) for the Remitly Business team in Seattle. You will help build a new product line, acting as a fullstack generalist across frontend and backend, partnering with product managers to turn ambiguous problems into shipped features.
You will set technical standards, lead parallelizable work, uphold security and reliability, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience as a fullstack generalist across frontend and backend.
- Designing secure, scalable, and performant software with cloud-based infrastructure.
- Experience leading teams and delivering features in parallel.
- Mentoring other developers through reviews and retrospectives.
- Articulating best practices for error handling, observability, and operations.
Responsibilities
- Set the technical standard with well-tested, resilient, scalable code.
- Lead team projects by breaking features into components for parallel delivery.
- Uphold security, reliability, and quality standards while managing technical debt.
- Collaborate with product, design, and stakeholders to achieve shared outcomes.
- Communicate trade-offs clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
