Job summary

Remitly is seeking a Senior Fullstack Software Development Engineer in Seattle to own end-to-end, high-impact, customer-facing features across web and mobile, with backend services in Java, Kotlin, Go, or Python. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and analysts to deliver scalable software and drive engineering excellence.

You will work across teams using TypeScript/React or React Native, and backend languages, while embracing AI-assisted tooling to accelerate delivery with

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years building customer-facing experiences at product scale.
• Proficiency in backend languages: TypeScript/Java/Go.
• Experience with distributed, large-scale systems and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design and architecture for complex, often greenfield problems.
• Build full-stack features spanning web and mobile front ends and backend services.
• Partner with product managers, designers, analysts, and engineers to translate requirements into scalable software.
• Ship well-tested, observable, and secure systems meeting reliability and latency targets.
• Participate in on-call rotations and mentor peers.
