Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior full-stack engineer to design and ship web apps for healthcare revenue cycle management. You will build screens against a shared component library and implement contract-first API routes with schemas used by frontend and backend.

You will model clinical and financial data in MongoDB and work inside shared TypeScript packages in the monorepo. You will own the main product surface end to end across Vue 3, TypeScript, Express, MongoDB, and related tooling,

Qualifications

5+ years building and shipping production web applications.
3+ years of health care revenue cycle management experience.
Strong TypeScript across the stack.
Hands-on experience with a modern front-end framework such as Vue or React.
Backend experience with Node, Express, and MongoDB/Mongoose.
Ability to design scalable queries and schemas for large clinical, patient, and financial datasets.

Job description

Build screens against the internal component library
Design and implement contract-first API routes with schemas shared across frontend and backend
Model clinical and revenue cycle data in MongoDB and keep it queryable as collections grow
Work inside shared TypeScript packages used by every application in the monorepo
Take features from specification through production and support them after launch
Work across the full revenue cycle, from pre-visit clearance through payment
Integrate with clients’ existing EHRs and external systems
Own the main product surface end to end across Vue 3, TypeScript, Express, MongoDB, and shared TypeScript packages

Requirements

5+ years building and shipping production web applications
3+ years of health care revenue cycle management experience
Strong TypeScript across the stack
Hands‑on experience with a modern front‑end framework such as Vue or React
Backend experience with Node, Express, and MongoDB/Mongoose
Ability to design scalable queries and schemas for large clinical, patient, and financial datasets
Ability to identify shortcomings of development tools
Experience designing for unpredictable growth and explaining tradeoffs
Experience improving large codebases without rewriting them
Experience moving health data between systems using HL7, FHIR, and EHR connectivity
Experience building complex, auditable systems geared towards visibility
Experience processing financial events and managing transaction states
Experience creating configurable state machines and rule engines
Understanding of clinical workflows, care pathways, and healthcare revenue cycles (preferred)
Familiarity with the OpenAI API or similar LLM tooling (preferred)
Monorepo experience, such as Turborepo or Nx (preferred)
Realtime or streaming applications experience (preferred)
Durable workflow orchestration experience, such as Temporal, Cadence, or AWS Step Functions (preferred)
Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP (preferred)
Experience building analytics or reporting on transactional data (preferred)
Experience with EDI/X12, including 270, 271, and 835 (a plus)

Core Competencies

Demonstrates expertise in building and shipping production web applications with a focus on healthcare revenue cycle management. Proficient in TypeScript, Vue 3, and backend technologies, with a strong understanding of clinical workflows and data integration.
