Senior Fullstack Engineer | Health Tech | New York, NY (SoHo, Hybrid)

Build the software that clinics run on.

Our client is a venture-backed health tech company powering modern musculoskeletal practices, from the first patient touchpoint through clinical workflows and ongoing engagement. They just closed a Series B with a top-tier VC and are growing a small, senior engineering team.

The role

You’ll own features end to end in a single TypeScript monorepo (Vue 3, Express, MongoDB, with Temporal, ClickHouse and Databricks behind it), building the internal tools clinic and ops teams use all day. The mission: automate complex workflows, cut manual steps, and connect outside vendors so staff touch fewer systems.

The hard problems here aren’t algorithmic. Clinical data is messy, and patients are human: they reschedule, they don’t pick up, they tell the front desk what they never told their doctor. If you’d rather model the mess than pretend it away, you’ll fit right in.

The team works contract-first: API schemas are declared once and typechecked on both sides, so a broken endpoint is a build failure, not a bug report.

What you’ll do

• Turn manual, error-prone clinical and operational processes into reliable software
• Design API routes contract-first, with schemas shared across frontend and backend
• Build screens in Vue 3 (Composition API) on an internal component library
• Model patient data in MongoDB and keep it fast as collections grow
• Integrate third-party vendors and APIs
• Take features from spec to production, and support them once live

What you bring

• 5+ years shipping production web apps as a senior engineer, owning features end to end
• Strong TypeScript across frontend and backend
• Vue 3 or React (strong in React? They’ll get you productive in Vue fast)
• Node and Express
• MongoDB/Mongoose with real schema and indexing judgment
• Experience automating complex business workflows (internal tools, back-office, B2B SaaS)
• Startup or growth-stage experience: high-agency, ships, finds problems without waiting for a spec
• Honest opinions on the shortcomings of the tools you use
• A track record of improving large codebases rather than rewriting them

No healthcare background needed. Curiosity about how care actually gets delivered matters more.

Nice to have:

Temporal or similar workflow orchestration, vendor API integrations, monorepo tooling, ClickHouse/Databricks, LLM tooling in production, HL7/FHIR/EHR experience, AWS/Azure/GCP

Compensation and perks

• Salary: $190,000 to $240,000 plus stock options
