Job summary

Remitly, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (SDE III) to build a new product line for cross-border payments for small businesses.

You will design and implement as a fullstack generalist across frontend and backend, set technical standards, and partner with product managers to ship features in a hybrid Seattle-based role. You will mentor peers, drive system design reviews, and help establish engineering excellence with a focus on security, reliability, and performance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering in a collaborative team, with fullstack scope across frontend and backend.
• Experience designing secure, scalable software on cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Set technical standards and write well-tested, scalable code.
• Lead cross-functional projects with product managers, designers and stakeholders.
• Break features into components for parallel delivery and provide estimates.
• Coach other developers through mentoring and reviews.
