Job summary

Remitly, Inc. is seeking an SDE-1 to scale our funding and disbursement processing across global regions. You will contribute to expanding our pay-in and pay-out networks, building with AI-assisted development, and delivering scalable, secure code for customers worldwide.

The role emphasizes collaboration with PMs and Operations, learning our cloud‑based architecture, and mentoring newer engineers while maintaining high standards of software quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years building, shipping, maintaining consumer software products.
• 1+ years working with services on AWS.
• Experience using AI tools to accelerate code construction, testing, and documentation in production.
• Experience migrating legacy services to modernized architecture.

Responsibilities

• Develop new partner integrations for pay‑in and pay‑out networks across 170+ countries.
• Leverage AI-assisted development to accelerate delivery with emphasis on correctness and security.
• Deliver well‑tested, observable, documented, scalable, and resilient solutions.
• Participate in interviewing, code reviews, and mentoring new hires.
• Collaborate with PMs and Operations to address customer-facing problems and define tradeoffs.
